- Pre-screening: there will be a pre-screening requirement over the phone prior to scheduling. Any customer with recent travel exposure or symptom history will not be eligible to come in for treatment until all symptoms have been clear for at least a three-week period.
- Day of visit: on the day of your appointment, please come to the place alone to limit exposure and the number of customers in the clinic at one time. Our front desk team will ask you to fill out a brief electronic healthcare questionnaire and will take your temperature, utilizing the thermal point no touch thermometer. Anyone, employees or customers, displaying a temperature over 100.0°F will not be allowed to enter the spa. Upon entry, you will be escorted quickly into the treatment room and waiting in the retail lounge will not be permitted.
- Face mask: you must wear a mask to your appointment and will be asked to leave it on until you are told to by your Esthetician to take it off in the treatment room.
- Shoe slips: upon entry into the room, please put on the protective shoe slips provided during check in and bring one only bag with you (that will go into a sterilized belonging tray along with your outerwear). We will not be able to hold large items in the waiting room, so please no personal luggage or shopping bags.
- Wash your hands: correct hygiene and frequent hand washing with soap is vital to help combat spread of the coronavirus. All employees are instructed to wash their hands or use rinse free sanitizer when a sink is not available every 60 minutes (for 20 seconds). All employees are also instructed to do so after any of the following activities: using the restroom, sneezing, touching their face, blowing their nose, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, eating, drinking, and entering or leaving the facilities. After each hand washing, employees and customers are recommended to use rinse free hand sanitizer. Please wash your hands when you arrive and when you leave the clinic
- Limit chatting: while we love socializing and chatting, during these times we will ask you to keep interactions brief to reduce interpersonal exposure. Please know that we care about you, but we will have to refrain from our normal hugs, handshakes and kisses during this time. If possible, please try not to talk during your facial; if you need to talk, your esthetician will provide you with a surgical mask. We will make sure you will have plenty of time to catch up in the treatment room before your appointment.
- Timeliness: please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment time, we will ask you to wait in the building’s lobby waiting area. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will have to cut your appointment time short and will not be able to run over, to allow the proper amount of time needed to sterilize and turn over the room. We appreciate your understanding.
- Retail: your Esthetician will help you with any products you would like to purchase. We kindly ask that you do not touch any products on display. Our front desk will happily help you and advise you on what products would be best suitable should you wish to walk in to purchase products from our retail lounge.

- Some of the precautions Mariya’s Skin Care is following to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:
- Prepayment for services or contactless checkout
- Additional time included between appointments to implement strict sanitation guidelines
- Guests accompanying those scheduled for services discouraged unless the client is a minor
- Your esthetician will wear a mask and thoroughly clean hands before and after each service and wear nitrile gloves for waxing
- All surfaces will be wiped thoroughly with hospital grade disinfectant before and after each client according to the manufacturer’s directions
- We will not be operating at full capacity in order to abide by California State regulation rules. Appointments are required and will be limited, as no walk-ins are accepted at this time. We encourage online bookings.

WARNING: Mariya’s European Skin Care will not preform Facial Waxing treatments on Clients using Medical Grade Skin Care Products. Please notify your Esthetician if you have any known allergies or sensitivities, if you are using any of the following: Accutane, Tretinion, Retin-A, Any Medical Grade Skin Care products, acne specific medication, currently using Antibiotics, or if you are Diabetic or Pregnant.
Waxing:
Please note that waxing can have certain side effects such as skin removal, redness, swelling, tenderness, etc.
I have read the above information and if I have any concerns, I will address these with my skin therapist. I give permission to my therapist to perform the waxing procedure we have discussed and will hold her and her staff harmless from any liability that may result from this treatment. I have given an accurate account of known allergies or prescription drugs or products I am currently ingesting or using topically. I understand my esthetician will take every precaution to minimize or eliminate negative reactions as much as possible. In the event that I may have additional questions or concerns regarding my treatment or suggested home product / post-treatment care, I will consult the esthetician immediately.
I agree that this constitutes full disclosure, and that it supersedes any previous verbal or written disclosures. I certify that I have read, and fully understand the above paragraphs and that I have had sufficient opportunity for discussion to have any questions answered. Skin Care, Facials and Peels: Please note that certain skin care treatments can have side effects such as immediate pinkness, rosy tone or “sun burn” appearance, tightness, peeling, flaking, swelling, tenderness, dryness or itchiness etc.
Massage: Mariya’s European Skin Care hires licensed and separately insured independent contractors to administer Massage Therapy treatments.
